CBD Infused Lotion Bars

 

Cruz Hemp’s CBD lotion bars are an excellent way to utilize the power of CBD, aromatherapy, and keep your skin hydrated. This recipe is simple, fun to make, and you can customize them with your favorite essential oils. These bars make great gifts. In this recipe, we use Lavender essential oil for a soothing experience that nourishes the skin, calms the mind, and reduces stress. These bars are great for massaging into skin before bed. 

 

Ingredients and supplies you will need:

  • Cruz Hemp 1200mg of CBD Infused Organic Jojoba Carrier Oil
  • Beeswax Pellets
  • Shea Butter
  • Cruz Hemp Lavender Essential Oil
  • Silicone mold or cupcake pan

 

Instructions:

Fill a pot with 2 inches of water and place on low-medium heat.

Place a shallow glass or metal bowl on top to create a double boiler. 

Make sure the bowl is not touching the water.

Bring water to a simmer.

Add ⅓ cup of Beeswax pellets to bowl.

Add ⅓ cup of Shea Butter to bowl. 

Add ⅓ cup of CBD Infused Jojoba carrier oil into the bowl.

Slowly stir until ingredients are melted down.

Remove bowl from the double boiler with hot pads.

Add 20 drops of Cruz Hemp Lavender oil.

Carefully pour the melted liquid into the molds.

Let them cool for 30 minutes.

Lotion bars are ready!

 

*You can alter this recipe to make as many lotion bars depending on how much of each ingredient you have on hand. All you need is equal parts of Beeswax, Shea Butter, and Cruz Hemp CBD Infused Jojoba oil. You can customize the scent of your lotion bars by using your favorite essential oils. 

 

Essential Oils by Scent 

Floral: Lavender, Rose, Geranium, Jasmine, Palmarosa, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang

Citrus: Orange, Lemon, Bergamot, Citronella, Grapefruit, Lemongrass, Lime, Neroli, Petitgrain, Tangerine

Woodsy: Cedarwood, Coriander, Cypress, Fir, Frankincense, Helichrysum, Juniper, Myrrh, Patchouli, Sandalwood

Spicy: Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, Nutmeg, Pepper

Herbal: Eucalyptus, Marjoram, Oregano, Peppermint, Pine, Rosemary, Sage, Tea Tree, Thyme, Basil, Chamomile, Clary Sage
